How do I create a new event?
- Click the "+" button or "New Event" in the top menu
- Choose an event template or "Custom"
- Enter a title and set the date/time
- Customize color, notifications, and other options
- Click "Save"
How do I create a floating countdown window?
- Select an event from your events list
- Click the "Floating Window" button (rectangle icon)
- The window will appear and can be moved anywhere on your screen
You can create multiple floating windows for different events.
How do I sync events between my devices? PREMIUM ONLY
iCloud sync is a Premium exclusive feature. Premium users can sync across devices by:
- Ensuring you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
- Going to Settings → General → Enable "iCloud Sync"
- Waiting a few moments for sync to complete
Note: This feature requires Premium to remove ads and enable cloud synchronization.
How do I set up recurring events?
Recurring events are now available for everyone! Here's how to set them up:
- Create a new event or edit an existing one
- Toggle "Recurring Event" to ON
- Select recurrence pattern: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly
- Save your changes
This feature is now included in both free and premium versions!
Why aren't my notifications working?
Check the following:
- Notifications are enabled in System Settings for EventCountdownPro
- Your device is not in Do Not Disturb mode
- You've set notification times in the event settings
- For macOS, ensure the app is allowed in Notification Center
How do I import events from my calendar? PREMIUM ONLY
Calendar import & export integration is a Premium exclusive feature:
- Go to Settings → Calendar
- Click "Import from Calendar"
- Grant calendar access if prompted
- Select date range and events to import
- Click "Import Selected"
Premium Benefit: Calendar integration is exclusive to ad-free Premium users.
Troubleshooting
App Crashes on Launch
- Ensure your operating system is up to date
- Restart your computer
- Reinstall the app from the App Store
Menu Bar Icon Missing
- Check if app is running in Activity Monitor
- Restart the app
- Check System Settings → Dock & Menu Bar
Floating Windows Not Staying on Top
- Ensure you haven't disabled "Always on Top" in window settings
- Check if any system maintenance tools are interfering
- Restart the app
